‘Jurassic World 3’ Star Bryce Dallas Howard Returns To Set Following COVID-19 Delay
KEY POINTS
With the coronavirus restrictions easing up, studio productions are gearing up to get back to work. One of these is “Jurassic World: Dominion,” the third installment in the series of "Jurassic Park" reboots.
The film's lead actress Bryce Dallas Howard spoke about how it was to return to work amid the resumption of activities under the “new normal.” Speaking to Entertainment Weekly's Live SiriusXM show, Howard said that “there’s been a lot of communication” adding that the film’s team was going “above and beyond” to keep the cast and crew safe.
The actress also shared how grateful she was to be returning to work and that she and the rest of the cast were taking it one day at a time. While some of the film locations for “Jurassic World 3” are opening up, Hollywood associations, like Directors Guild of America, have released guidelines on how to make work safer.
Film shooting usually attracts a huge number of people. This may be especially tricky, considering that the “new normal” requires people to be socially distant from one another, Movie Web reported. The report added that if any of the cast and crew showed signs of contracting the virus – either from the crowd or from one another – they will be immediately sent home.
“Jurassic World: Dominion” will explore the fallout of “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom,” where the dinosaurs have been set loose into the American mainland. Aside from exploring the main characters' arcs in the last film, it will also show how humanity plans to cope with a dinosaur population that’s now living among them.
The film is directed by Colin Trevorrow and was one of those which went under a hiatus after everything was halted in March due to the pandemic. Aside from Howard, the film will see the return of Chris Pratt and some characters from the original franchise like Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum and Sam Neill.
