Justin Bieber Accuses Taylor Swift Of Seeking Sympathy On Social Media
After Taylor Swift accused Scooter Braun of “manipulative bullying,” Justin Bieber has come out in defense of his manager. The “Sorry” singer apologized for his past behavior, but at the same time, he accused Swift of seeking sympathy by writing about it on social media.
In a lengthy post on Instagram, Bieber started by apologizing for a post that he shared back in 2016, something that Swift had brought up in her social media post. Bieber said that back then he thought that the post was “funny,” but in hindsight, he felt that the post was “distasteful” and “insensitive.”
On the question of Braun, Bieber said that the former had nothing to do with his social media post. The singer had previously posted a screenshot of a video chat of him with Braun and Kanye West, and it was captioned “Taylor Swift what up.”
Bieber said that Braun actually told him not to joke with Swift like that back then. He also added that he and his manager have nothing negative to say about the “Love Story” singer.
While the post was supposed to be an apology, Bieber also asked Swift about why she took to social media to talk about her problems instead of reaching out to solve the problems. He added that Swift was trying to gain sympathy with her post, and she also knew that such a post would encourage her fans to “bully” Braun online.
Bieber said that online banter will not solve anything. He also confirmed that both he and Braun would love to talk to Swift to resolve any “pain,” “conflict” or other feelings that need to be addressed.
One of the pressing issues for Swift is the fact that Braun purchased Big Machine, a company that owns her music. The singer had written that she wasn’t given an opportunity to buy back her music, and through this purchase Braun had stripped her of her life’s work. She added that her musical legacy was in the hands of a man who tried to “dismantle it” before, ET Online reported.
Swift also accused Braun of bullying her by getting his two clients Bieber and Kanye West together. She said that West’s wife Kim Kardashian “illegally recorded” a part of her phone call and leaked it online, which was used to bully her online. She also accused West of making a “revenge porn music video” that strips her body naked.
West previously made a music video in which he had a Swift look-alike sculpture topless, People reported. Swift also denied that she gave the singer permission to call her “that b---h” in his song.
