Justin Bieber Is Not Phased By Grammy Snub, As He Tweets A Photo Of Himself Returning To The Studio
Justin Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun is not pleased that Bieber was not nominated for a single Grammy awards this year.
"I just plain DISAGREE. The kid deserved it. Grammy board u blew it on this one,” Braun wrote, before continuing on.
"this time he deserved to be recognized and I dont really have any kind nice positive things to say about a decision i dont agree with [sic].”
Though unhappy, Braun did congratulate the artists who were nominated for a Grammy.
“so to all those nominated...you do deserve it. You worked hard and u earned it. Just feel like so did JB."
Meanwhile, Justin Bieber does not seem too phased by the snub. He tweeted last night a picture of a recording studio with the caption, “Back in the studio.”
Taylor Swift and LL Cool J announced the Grammy nominations Wednesday night, and Bieber was not the only big name left out of the running. British boy band One Direction was not nominated for a Grammy award, and nor was Nicki Minaj.
Though Bieber did not have a Grammy nomination, he had two top ten singles this year and a number one album with ‘Believe.’
However, though his third album had remarkable sales, it was noted that the sales were still lower than expected for the pop star.
Analyst Bakula told Huffington Post in June when Bieber’s album was released: "Bieber's fan base just isn't that million first week sales machine like Lady Gaga's was with her last last album.
"At the same time, it's significantly higher than what his last album sold its first week. We're talking about someone who has a growing fan base this far into your career, which is great."
So it is possible that while Bieber had a top-selling album, it still was perceived as an underperformance to many critics, leading to him not being nominated for a Grammy this year.
