Justin Bieber Reportedly Engaged To Hailey Baldwin; Selena Gomez Fans React

Justin Bieber is off the market. The “Sorry” singer is reportedly engaged to model Hailey Baldwin.

According to TMZ, several sources say Bieber popped the question while in the Bahamas. His security team apparently made everyone in a restaurant put their phones away as Bieber proposed to Baldwin.

The two have been dating for only a month, but this isn’t their first attempt at a relationship. The two dated a couple years ago.

However, many fans of Bieber were more invested in his other on-again, off-again romance with Selena Gomez. The teen pop stars started seeing each other in 2010 before splitting up at the end of 2012 — the first of many breakups for the young couple.

Most recently, the two were spotted spending a lot of time together in the fall and winter, with Gomez even seemingly wishing Bieber a happy birthday on Instagram in March. However, the two haven’t been pictured together much since them.

In May, Us Weekly reported that Gomez chose to break it off. “Selena started seeing the bigger picture when it came to their relationship, like what was more important: her general happiness and her family and friends approval, or her being together with Justin, where no one really supported their relationship,” a source claimed. “She obviously chose happiness and her friends and family and is so thrilled about her decision-making process.”

Still, Selena and Justin shippers were hoping the two would give the relationship another go. Several Jelena fans took to Twitter to express their shock and disappointment.

While Jelena fans definitely care, Gomez might not. If the “Hotel Transylvania” was affected by the news, she didn’t let it show. She was pictured having some fun in the sun on a boat cruise in New York City on Sunday, according to People.

Bieber has yet to confirm the engagement news, but fans believe that his father may have indicated that the reports are true. Jeremy Bieber posted a photo of Justin with the caption, “Proud is an understatement! Excited for the next chapter!”
