Justin Timberlake Calls Jessica Biel His ‘Beautiful Wife’ At The People’s Choice Awards 2014 Amid Divorce Rumors [VIDEO]
Rumor has it that Justin Timberlake and his wife, actress Jessica Biel, may be headed for divorce, but if the “The 20/20 Experience" singer’s acceptance speech at the 2014 People’s Choice Awards is any indication, the former gossip might now be considered redundant.
Contrary to a recent report from OK! magazine that Timberlake, 32 and Biel, 31, are living apart and considering a permanent split, Timberlake, who walked away from the annual fan-voted show with the award for “Favorite Male Artist,” among two others awards, caused a stir by thanking “his beautiful wife” during his acceptance speech Wednesday night. “I would like to thank my beautiful wife for teaching me patience,” said the former boy-band singer, who even gave relationship advice to male TV viewers. “Just putting the dishes in the dishwasher, it goes a long way. Fellas, you’re welcome.”
Despite giving the sweet compliment to his wife of two years, the “I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry” actress was a noticeable no-show at the event. This marks the second consecutive time Biel has failed to appear with the singer at an awards show. In November, Biel’s absence at the American Music Awards even prompted fans to question if the former “7th Heaven” star was pregnant. Biel responded to the allegations via Twitter, posting, “I’m watching from home tonight. Calm down, internet.”
Last week, Ok! via TheHollywoodGossip.com, printed a story claiming that the superstar duo’s union is reportedly on the rocks. According to the report, Biel is considering divorce because of Timberlake’s alleged reluctance to start a family, among other martial issues. “Justin and Jessica are battling over his long tour absences, his refusal to start a family and his alleged liaisons with other women,” a source told the gossip magazine, adding, “Before they wed, Justin promised Jessica they’d try for a baby but then he put his energy into touring instead.”
