Kaia Gerber Is Spitting Image Of Mother Cindy Crawford In Vogue Italia, Signs With IMG Models

Kaia Gerber, the 13-year-old daughter of supermodel Cindy Crawford and entrepreneur Rande Gerber, is the spitting image of her mom in a photograph from her latest high fashion shoot. Kaia, who has bagged her first modeling contract with IMG Models, is featured in the July issue of Vogue Italia.

IMG announced the news last week on Instagram by releasing the first editorial photo of the young stunner shot by Steven Meisel, the Telegraph reported. Gerber posted another sneak peek of her high-fashion photo shoot on Instagram, which features the mini fashionista rocking suits and coats in a series of black and white pictures, with the caption, “Unreal.”

Meisel was the man behind several of Crawford’s most iconic images. Getting shot by the famous photographer is a milestone for any model. In the first shot, the teen is seen in a crisp white shirt along with a structured pea coat and tie.

In the second frame, she dons a leopard print fur coat. Her makeup was done by celeb makeup artist Pat McGrath and hair styled by Guido Palau. The latest issue of Vogue Italia is dedicated to the topic of age. It features women of various age groups, both young and old, including Stockard Channing, Jan de Villeneuve and Frankie Rayder.

Crawford reposted a picture of her mini-me on Instagram and jokingly wrote, “Guess I better watch my back...Love this shot of @KaiaGerber by #StevenMeisel for @VogueItalia!” The teenager has her own personal photographer. Her brother Presely Gerber has an Instagram account where he exclusively shares pictures of his little sister from her modeling shots.

The brunette made her modeling debut at the age of 10 for Young Versace. She modeled the children’s line in 2012, which was shoot by Peggy Sirota. The photographs appeared in Teen Vogue along with an interview.

At IMG, Kaia joins a host of models that include Candice Swanepoel, Miranda Kerr and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. The youngster is getting a career head start on her famous mother, now 49, who was discovered at age 16 by a local newspaper photographer in DeKalb, Illinois, and started modeling in earnest a year later.
