Kailyn Lowry Sets Record Straight On Relationship With 'Teen Mom' Co-Star Leah Messer

"Teen Mom 2" stars Kailyn Lowry and Leah Messer seem to be getting awfully close lately, but things aren't always as they seem.

Kailyn set the record straight on her relationship with co-star Leah on a recent episode of her "Coffee Convos" podcast.

"I would never [date or marry Leah]! She’s like one of my best friends. We have become so close, I would never want to ruin that,” she said, according to The Ashley's Reality Roundup.

"I think MTV would lose their [explective] if Leah and me actually dated,” Kail added. “I texted [Leah] yesterday…and I was like, 'We might as well just get married.' And she was like, 'Yeah, doesn’t everyone want to marry their best friend?'"

The reality stars attended the MTV Video Music Awards and even walked the red carpet together in their bras. If that didn't do enough to fuel rumors, 27-year-old Kailyn shared a photo of herself and Leah to Twitter.

"We're officially a couple!" she wrote.

Kailyn and Leah both appeared on the MTV series "16 and Pregnant" before moving on to join the "Teen Mom 2" cast. Fans can catch the two besties, alongside Chelsea DeBoer, Briana DeJesus, and Jade Cline, as they continue to navigate life with their growing children when the show returns to television screens for Season 9.
