Kaley Cuoco Breaks Silence, Slams Dating Rumors With ‘Big Bang Theory’ Co-Star Johnny Galecki
Kaley Cuoco sets the record straight and address dating rumors with former boyfriend Johnny Galecki on Instagram.
Cuoco took to Instagram Wednesday to put a stop to rumors that she and "Big Bang Theory" co-star Galecki are getting back together again after her split from husband Ryan Sweeting. The actress wrote, "So sorry to disappoint, but no home wreckers or secret flings going on here."
Cuoco also uploaded a black and white photo of herself and Galecki sitting on a bench while doing a fist bump. "Me and @sanctionedjohnnygalecki are just the best of buds," she continued. "Leonard and Penny will just have to suffice!!!" The two stars play the on-screen couple Penny and Leonard, on CBS’ hit comedy series "Big Bang Theory."
Meanwhile, Galecki supported Cuoco’s post and uploaded a slightly different version of their black and white photo on his Instagram account Wednesday. He wrote, "No scandals / home wreckers/pregnancies here, y'all. Just profound friendship."
Galecki and Cuoco dated for almost two years before their separation in 2010. The actress told Cosmopolitan magazine last year that she considers Galecki as "one of [her] closest friends" despite their break up. "It took a minute, a bit of awkwardness," she said about working with the actor after their split. "By the grace of God, we became best buddies and moved on in such an elegant way... He was in the front row at my wedding, with a huge smile on his face."
Cuoco also acknowledged that she’s lucky to be "best friends" with a former boyfriend. During an appearance on "Watch What Happens Live" last month, the actress admitted the "situation ended well" between her and Galecki, People reported. "We dated like five years ago, so I think everyone's moved on," she said. "Johnny's actually one of my best friends. It's a situation that ended well, I understand sometimes it doesn't."
The actress filed for divorce from tennis player Sweeting on Sept. 29 after 21 months of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for split.
