Kaley Cuoco Net Worth: How ‘Big Bang Theory’ Star Compares To Other TV Actors
Now that “The Big Bang Theory” has officially been renewed for 12 seasons, Kaley Cuoco could be set for one of the most massive paydays in television star history.
According to a report by Vulture, Cuoco and her co-stars Johnny Galecki and Jim Parsons are each set to potentially earn $139.8 million by the time the show wraps its 12th season. Co-stars Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar’s earnings are unknown. By comparison, Melissa Rauch and Mayim Bialik, who both joined the series in its third season, are expected to have taken home $31.3 and $27.7 million, respectively.
The numbers aren’t overly surprising due to salary negotiations amongst the cast making headlines over the years. Most recently, with the news that the show was renewed, it was reported that Parsons, Galecki, Cuoco, Helberg and Nayyar all offered to cut their per-episode earnings by $100,000 so Bialik and Rauch could get increases of $50,000 each, bringing their per-episode paychecks to $250,000.
In addition, the increases Cuoco, Parsons and Galecki received in 2014, which brought their paychecks to $1 million per episode, also made headlines after their negotiations delayed production on the show.
While the cast will likely be among the highest paid TV actors of all-time, they aren’t the only ones who take home big paychecks. Here are other actors who were among some of the highest paid in 2016:
Sofia Vergara
The only other actress who has managed to beat out Cuoco over the years for highest earnings has been Sofia Vergara, who, according to Forbes, took in $43 million from 2015-2016. Though some of that pay came from her long-running stint at Gloria Delgado-Pritchett on “Modern Family,” a large portion came from her endorsement deals with Head & Shoulders, Cover Girl, Diet Pepsi and more.
Mark Harmon
Between his starring role as Special Agent Gibbs on “NCIS” and his off-screen producing, Harmon pulled in $20 million from 2015-2016. The only actors to beat him were the men from “The Big Bang Theory.”
Mindy Kaling
Between starring on, creating and producing “The Mindy Project,” plus a book deal, Kaling pulled in $15 million from 2015-2016.
Ellen Pompeo
Her salary for “Grey's Anatomy” led her to a cool $14.5 million in earnings from 2015-2016.
Mariska Hargitay
As the star of “Law & Order: SVU” for 18 seasons, Hargitay earned $14.5 million from 2015-2016.
