Kaley Cuoco Proves She’s Moved On From Ex-Husband Ryan Sweeting, Covers Up Wedding Date Tattoo
Kaley Cuoco is out to prove that she’s moved on from divorcing former husband Ryan Sweeting. The actress got a new ink to help cover up the tattoo she had symbolizing her marriage to Sweeting.
Cuoco took to Instagram Tuesday to share a picture of her getting a new tattoo, E!News reported. In the photo, “The Big Bang Theory” actress was sitting on a chair while a tattoo artist worked on covering up a Roman numeral tattoo of “12 31 13,” which was her wedding date to former husband Sweeting.
She captioned the image, "Thank you @nero_sct @studiocitytattoo for helping me right my wrongs.. note to self- do not mark your body with any future wedding dates #under30mistakes #donttakeyourselftooseriouslykids."
Cuoco’s hashtags seem to indicate that her marriage to Sweeting was a mistake which she has since corrected. The former couple was married on Dec. 31, 2013 after a whirlwind romance. However, Cuoco filed for divorce in September after nearly two years of marriage.
To cover up the wedding date tattoo, Cuoco opted for a large winged insect. The new winged tattoo may be considered as a symbol for freedom and new beginnings, however, the actress shared that there was a very simple reason why she chose it.
She explained on Instagram that "the deep, meaningful, larger than life meaning behind this beautiful piece of ink, is..... It covered the last one."
Meanwhile, in the past two months since her divorce from Sweeting, Cuoco has been spending time with her pets, participating in various events and going out with friends. Earlier this month, Cuoco, along with her sister Bri and long-time friend Johnny Galecki, attended Bethesda’s launch party for the video game “Fallout 4.”
Galecki, Cuoco’s former boyfriend and “The Big Bang Theory” co-star, even shared a cute and “biting” image of himself and Cuoco. In the Instagram post, Galecki was photographed biting Cuoco’s shoulder while the star had her mouth wide open in what appeared to be scream.
The actor wrote, "Hilarious night out in the LA Arts District w/ @normancook #BFFsbite @ludwig1965 @bricuoco."
