Kaley Cuoco Says Penny, Leonard Have ‘Baby Itch’ In ‘Big Bang Theory’
Kaley Cuoco recently talked about her character, Penny, and her husband, Leonard (Johnny Galecki) from “Big Bang Theory” Season 11.
According to the actress, the couple will get the “baby itch” since Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) is bound to have another baby. “I think it’s causing like, the itch. You know when your girlfriends start getting married or having kids, you go, ‘Oh, should I be doing this too?’ I think with Leonard and Penny, they’re starting to talk about that too, and saying, ‘Oh my God, are we behind?’” she told Entertainment Tonight.
In the previous episode of the hit CBS sitcom, Penny realized that taking care of a baby is not so bad after all. She finally had the chance to tend to Bernadette’s first-born, Hallie, while both she and Howard (Simon Helberg) were on bed rest.
However, even though Penny and Leonard will be talking about having a baby, this does not mean that this is what will actually happen on the show. According to the actress, she knows that Penny and Leonard are right where they’re supposed to be in their lives. “I don’t think we need another baby on set,” she said.
Meanwhile, if and when Penny indeed gets pregnant in “Big Bang Theory,” Cuoco won’t have a hard time wearing a fake baby belly. She once wore it in a Lifetime movie and had a blast. “I had the belly, it was really fun! People really take you seriously. They let you do anything you want. You gotta run with it. You’re like, ‘Oh I gotta sit down!’ and they’re like, ‘Please!’” she said.
In other news, Cuoco’s Penny isn’t the only character she’s busy portraying. The actress recently signed on to star in “The Flight Attendant,” the first movie that will be released under her company, Yes, Norman Productions.
“The Flight Attendant” was adapted from a novel, which will be released in March 2018. “It’s gonna be a really, really fun story and we’re hoping to make a miniseries. We’re unsure what we’re going to do at this point, but it’d be my first project with the company, so I’m thrilled,” she said.
