The Indianapolis Colts traveled to Kansas City to take on the top-seeded Chiefs in an NFL playoff game on Saturday, but it will not take place in the cleanest of conditions. According to reports from those at or near Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, this could be a classic, snow-covered January football game.
The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for “moderate to heavy snow” in Kansas and Missouri on Saturday. Snow is expected to fall throughout the day, though the hardest precipitation is expected in the earlier parts of the morning. It is supposed to become lighter as the day goes on, so it might not be a blizzard by the time the game starts.
In all, the NWS expects two to four inches of snow to fall on Saturday.
National NFL reporters like James Palmer of NFL Network and Mike Tirico of NBC Sports tweeted photos of Kansas City blanketed in snow on Saturday morning.
