  • Kanye West said he had contracted the coronavirus in February
  • The rapper promoted the anti-vaccination movement in his interview with Forbes
  • He laid down his presidential plans

After announcing he will run for president in the upcoming elections, Kanye West has revealed that he had coronavirus in a new interview.

The rapper recently dropped major bombshells in his interview with Forbes, one of which is that he had won against the dreaded virus. West revealed that he battled COVID-19 in February, but he maintained that him contracting the virus has no connection to his plans to run for president.

“Chills, shaking in the bed, taking hot showers, looking at videos telling me what I’m supposed to do to get over it. I remember someone had told me Drake had the coronavirus and my response was Drake can’t be sicker than me!” West said of his experience with COVID-19.

When asked about a coronavirus vaccine, West said he was skeptical about it, citing children who allegedly became “paralyzed” after getting vaccinated. According to another Forbes article, his remarks seem to refer to a disproven conspiracy theory that Microsoft founder Bill Gates allegedly had children in India injected with a polio vaccine and paralyzed nearly 500,000 kids.

“So when they say the way we’re going to fix [COVID-19] is with a vaccine, I’m extremely cautious. That’s the mark of the beast. They want to put chips inside of us, they want to do all kinds of things, to make it where we can’t cross the gates of heaven,” West said.

West also seemed to make reference to another debunked theory that Gates intends to put microchips under people’s skin through vaccination.

“They want to put chips inside of us, they want to do all kinds of things, to make it where we can’t cross the gates of heaven,” West said of getting vaccinated.

West also revealed that he is pro-life and against abortion, explaining that he is “following the word of the Bible.” Moreover, the artist said he will be running – “walking” – under the banner “Birthday Party.”

Meanwhile, the Microsoft founder previously shared his thoughts on the conspiracy theories involving him, saying he found them too “stupid” to even discuss.

“I've never been involved in any sort of microchip type thing. It’s almost hard to deny this stuff because it’s so stupid or strange that even to repeat it gives it credibility,” Gates said.
