KEY POINTS

  • Kanye West was jealous of the amount of time Kim Kardashian dedicated to their children and prison reform
  • Kardashian and West couldn't agree on settling down in Wyoming
  • The two have been living separate lives and didn't spend the holidays together

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian have different priorities, and he was allegedly jealous of the amount of time she spent on things other than him when they were still together.

West and Kardashian are no longer together, according to several outlets. None has filed for divorce yet, but they are reportedly going there. West was allegedly jealous of Kardashian's other priorities when they were still together.

"Kanye is jealous of the amount of time Kim has dedicated to prison reform and the kids, " a source told Us Weekly. " Kanye wanted the family to move to Wyoming full-time. It’s where he sees this direction of his life going. Kim just doesn’t see their lives full-time in Wyoming."

West and Kardashian have been in marriage counseling. However, they "haven't had a joint session together in a while," the tipster added.

"Kim has continued to meet with their marriage counselor in solo sessions. Kim’s singular focus is about how this will impact the kids, and Kanye has been receptive to engaging in those discussions," the insider explained.

The "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star is only waiting to take further legal action as she and West are already on "settlement talks," a second source said. Kardashian allegedly wanted the "divorce settlement finalized before formally filing" for divorce. Prior to the announcement of their separation, Kardashian and West have been living separate lives already and were not together during the holidays.

Some doubt the reports about Kardashian and West's split. They believe that it’s just another publicity stunt.

"This Kim/Kanye divorce thing seems a bit suspect. No one's filed for divorce, but it's coming? Seems like a publicity stunt," one wrote.

"A good number of Kanye's antics is planned pretty intensely," another user claimed. "Trump, Kardashians, Lohans, Hiltons, etc half of the controversy we see is probably public relations stunts to generate engagement."

However, some are supportive of it because Kardashian deserves someone better than West, according to them. In July 2020, West announced that he would be running for president. During his first campaign rally, he made a shocking statement saying his wife tried to have their first baby, North, aborted.

The "Gold Digger" rapper also had a meltdown on Twitter where he announced that he was planning to divorce Kardashian after her meeting with Meek Mill. Several sources said nothing inappropriate happened during their encounter and they were never left alone. West also alleged that Kardashian and her mom, Kris Jenner, locked him in a room with a doctor. West deleted those tweets after it garnered attention.

"Kim kardashian may be a lot of things, but she deserves better than Kanye West. NO SHADE," one tweeted.

"Kanye West and Kim are divorcing?! That’s good bc Kim deserves better.. #kanye #KimKardashian," another wrote.

"I mean, I hate Kim Kardashian and everything she stands for but even she deserves someone better than Kanye," a different netizen added.
