Kanye West, Kim Kardashian Dating: Yeezy Denies Calling Her His Beyonce
Kanye West reached out personally to US Weekly to put a stop to to the claim they made that the Hip hop mogul called his possible current girlfriend, reality-TV star Kim Kardashian, his own Beyonce. The quote was a reference to his friend, rapper Jay-Z's loving relationship with Beyonce Knowles. Kanye and Kim (Kimye?) have only been publicly dating for a short while and West is definitely not ready to make that type of statement.
Come on now, that doesn't even sound like me, Kanye West told US Weekly. If I don't say something in a rap or on Twitter, it's not true.
The original rumor surfaced after US Weekly quoted an anonymous source and the media has continued to speculate on their relationship, claiming that the two are alternately head-over-heels in love, already broken up, or that the entire thing is a sham and a publicity stunt.
Regarding Kanye's statement that the only valid information on him comes from his own rap lyrics and tweets, the Chicago-born rapper has been relatively quiet on Twitter recently, considering the fact that he was once known as one of the verified accounts most frequently updated. This month his only two tweets have both posted to promote his new song Theraflu, which was renamed Way Too Cold after the medicine company that sells Theraflu complained.
The new song's lyrics go into detail on Kanye and Kim's relationship, implying that the two were, at the very least, interested in each other while Kanye West was dating model Amber Rose and Kim Kardashian was married to basketball player Chris Humphries:
And the whole industry want to f-ck your old chick/ only n---a i got respect for is Wiz/ And I'll admit I fell in love with Kim/ Around the same time she had fell in love with him/ Well that's cool, baby girl, do ya thang/ Lucky I ain't had Jay drop him from the team...
