Kanye West and Kim Kardashian still face custody and property settlement issues despite finalizing their divorce in March.

Legal representatives of the 45-year-old rapper-turned-designer and the 42-year-old Skims founder are reportedly negotiating divorce settlements as "the goal" was to avert a trial scheduled in December, TMZ reported.

Unnamed sources with "direct knowledge" on the issue told the tabloid that West was still being represented by attorney Nick Salick. However, New York attorney Bob Cohen had withdrawn from the rapper's legal team amid his anti-Semitic remarks circulating online.

The Beverly Hills attorney, Salick, is reportedly trying to iron out a custody and property settlement agreement with Kardashian's longtime divorce lawyer, Laura Wasser.

Aside from custody rights, which the Yeezy founder has allegedly yet to exercise in the past months, the case revealed an odd request from West — that his four children, 9-year-old North, 6-year-old Saint, 4-year-old Chicago and 3-year-old Psalm, attend Donda Academy. But Kardashian has adamantly refused it, claiming their children are already attending an accredited school.

Donda Academy is a non-accredited private Christian school based in Los Angeles and founded by West, now known as Ye, in August last year for pre-kindergarten to twelfth-grade students.

On Thursday, the school abruptly shut down after the backlash against the rapper following the anti-Semitic comments he made in recent weeks and the controversial "White Lives Matter" shirt he debuted during Paris Fashion Week earlier this month.

The school's principal, Jason Angell, sent out an email to the parents of the student enrolled in the $15,000-a-year institution, announcing the closure of the academy.

"First, we would like to express our gratitude for the community of families and scholars that the Donda Academy brought together. However, at the discretion of our founder, Donda Academy will close for the remainder of the 2022-2023 school year effective immediately," Angell wrote, according to a screenshot of the email obtained by Hollywood Unlocked.

He continued, "We intend to begin afresh in September 2023."

West also confirmed the closure in a since-deleted Instagram post, saying, "Here's the clout you're looking for. My school is being shut down."

Only hours after the announcement, West surprised the parents and students with an email stating that Donda Academy has reopened once again.

"Join us tomorrow morning in worship for the return of Donda Academy. With the help of our parents and community, we are back and returning with a vengeance," the email obtained by TMZ read. "The children of Donda are going to change the world. Apologies for the late email! See you bright and early!"

The fate of the approximately 100 students enrolled in the Donda Academy remained unclear, as the school principal or West has yet to release official details about the reopening.
