Kanye West Reschedules ‘Saint Pablo’ Tour After Kim Kardashian Robbery; When To Catch New Show Dates
After abruptly ending a show Sunday night due to Kim Kardashian’s robbery, Kanye West is now postponing several dates for his “Saint Pablo” tour. The rapper announced that he is rescheduling two of his upcoming shows this week for later in the year.
According to Billboard, West was initially scheduled to perform in Philadelphia at Wells Fargo on Oct. 4. That show will now take place Dec. 13. The rapper’s Oct. 6 concert in Detroit will happen on Dec. 22. Live Nation announced that anyone who already purchased their tickets for the Oct. 4 and Oct. 6 shows will be able to use the same ticket for the new dates. The concert promoter company listed West’s reasoning for delaying the shows as “family concerns.”
On Sunday, West was in the middle of his set at the Meadows Music & Arts Festival in Queens, New York, when he told the crowd that he had to leave. “I’m sorry,” he said. “Family emergency. I have to stop the show.”
It was later revealed that West’s emergency was because his wife had been robbed at gunpoint inside her Paris apartment. According to People magazine, Kardashian was staying at The No Address Hotel when five masked men dressed as police officers entered her room. The 35-year-old mom of two was reportedly robbed of approximately $10 million worth of jewelry, including a $4 million ring, two cell phones and a wallet containing credit cards. The incident happened early Monday morning.
“[Kim] was tied up, and gagged with duct tape wrapped around her head. They put plastic ties around her wrists but she managed to squeeze her hands out of her the wrist ties by wriggling her hands,” a source told People. “She was hysterical but not screaming as she knew she had to keep quiet to survive.”
The source said Kardashian feared she would be raped during the terrifying incident. “She had a gun to her head the whole time,” the source said.
Kardashian was in Paris with her sisters Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner, and mom Kris Jenner, for Paris Fashion Week. Kardashian arrived in New York Monday where she reunited with West. Us Weekly reported that the five men are still at large, but Paris police are reportedly questioning a photographer who had been following the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star around Fashion Week. The outlet wrote that at one point the photographer gained access to a restaurant Kardashian was at by posing as a policeman.
