Kanye West's New Album Name: Twitter Guesses Title Based On Rapper's 'T.L.O.P.' Abbreviation
We are only two days away from hearing "one of the" greatest albums of all time, when Kanye West releases his highly anticipated new record. While many are excited to hear the latest effort from the 38-year-old rapper, it has not yet been revealed what the official title is. However, Kanye promised to award the person who can correctly guess what it will be called.
Kanye posted a studio update on Twitter Tuesday morning about finishing up the new record. He teased that the abbreviation for the new album title is "T.L.O.P." and said anyone who correctly guesses the name will get free tickets to the Yeezy Season 3 event in New York City on Thursday. Following Kanye's tweets, many have taken a shot at guessing the new titles but it's unclear if someone has figured it out yet. Many have submitted tweets that were both serious and joking at what the record will be called. Below are some suggestions on what "T.L.O.P." could stand for:
The new album was originally going to be called "Swish," but the "Stronger" rapper then decided to change the title to "Waves." Following a Twitter war with fellow rapper Wiz Khalifa over the title, Kanye's wife, Kim Kardashian, tweeted out a poll asking fans what they think the new album should be called. The name most people voted for was "So Help Me God," but based on the new abbreviation, it looks like Kanye will once again be going in a different direction.
Kanye West's new album will debut at the Yeezy Season 3 premiere on Thursday at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The event will be live streamed in live theaters around the world beginning at 4 p.m. EST.
