Kanye West’s pal Damon Dash has denied all the reports claiming that the rapper is “crazy” and also said that he doesn’t “give a [explicit]” if Kim Kardashian-West or the Kardashian family disagrees with his statement.
Speaking in an interview with Page Six, the 49-year-old entrepreneur opened up about the issue that has rocked the entertainment industry and noted that West is definitely not crazy. When asked about the concerns raised by the Kardashian family, Dash shared that he doesn’t “give a [explicit]” what the Kardashians say because he knows that the rapper is “cool.”
Dash further stated that the “Otis” hitmaker seems to be “little tired,” but he is “happy” with where he is right now.
“I don’t give a [explicit] about none of that. I see him – he’s cool. I don’t give a [explicit] what they say. He is a little tired but he is happy,” Dash told the publication.
Later in the interview, the film producer also explained that it is really unfortunate that people think West “lost his mind” just because he cried.
“People think he lost his mind just because he cried. The way he lost his mind and jumped on a jet and then jumped off the jet to come back to his 40,000-acre ranch? Yeah, I’d like to lose my mind like that,” Page Six quoted Dash, as saying.
“There’s definitely people around him that love him and he’s going to be all right. We are praying, we are working. People think like we are in an insane asylum [but] we got an album coming out,” he added.
Dash’s comments come almost a day after Kim opened up about her husband's bipolar disorder, calling on the media and fans to show “compassion” and “empathy” in the wake of the rapper’s bizarre behavior.
The reality TV star wrote a lengthy post in her Instagram Stories and explained that she was reluctant to talk about the issue until now. She said that she has come out to clear all the misconceptions.
“Those that understand mental illness or even compulsive behavior know that the family is powerless unless the member is a minor. People who are unaware or far removed from this experience can be judgmental and not understand that the individual themselves have to engage in the process of getting help no matter how hard family and friends try,”Kardashian wrote.
The “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star concluded her post by urging everyone to show some “empathy,” so that they can get through all of this.
“I kindly ask that the media and public give us the compassion and empathy that is needed so that we can get through this,” the reality TV star stated.
