Kate Beckinsale gave fans an update on her condition after suffering an injury Friday on the Las Vegas set of her new movie, “Prisoner’s Daughter.”
The 48-year-old Hollywood actress took to Instagram Monday to share a health update. Beckinsale posted a selfie she took from her hospital bed, showing the IV drip and hospital bracelet on her arm.
“Feeling a lot better,” she wrote in the caption, before thanking her fans for all the “kind messages and love” they sent her online following the news of her hospitalization.
Although she assured her friends and followers that she’s currently doing well, many of them still couldn’t help but feel worried.
“Hope you’re feeling back to 100% real soon,” musical artist and actor Wes Mack commented on her post.
“So much love. I am so sorry, you must be in pain, dear bright light. Recover well,” actress Selma Blair wrote.
“Looks serious. Hoping for a speedy recovery,” a fan added.
TMZ first broke the news Friday that the “Underworld” actress threw out her back while shooting her upcoming film in Las Vegas. Sources told the outlet at the time that the incident was so bad that Beckinsale had to be rushed to the nearest hospital by ambulance.
Beckinsale had been staying at The Signature at MGM Grand for about a week before the incident happened. Details on what really transpired are scarce, and the actress’ rep did not respond to the media outlet when asked for comment.
Two days before the incident, Beckinsale teased the project she was working on when she posted a snap showing her rocking a white lace dress over fishnet tights and black boots. She was also seen wearing a variety of accessories in the photo she shared on Instagram.
Aside from Beckinsale, the dramatic thriller written by Mark Bacci also stars Brian Cox, Ernie Hudson and Tyson Ritter, according to People.
The film centers on an ex-convict named Max (Cox) who is trying to reconnect with his daughter (Beckinsale) and the latter’s son after serving 12 years in prison.
