It was a day of race, fashion and royalty at the 2011 Epsom Derby Festival where royal couple William and Catherine, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, made a public entry along with the other members of the royal family.

Almost stealing the show at the event was Kate with her winning looks and style statement. Adorning a demure Nessie tweed jacket by Joseph and a crème peacock dress by Reiss, Kate looked very much elegant and stylish.

The Daily Mail stated that her dress and jacket very much resembled the suit that Princess Diana wore to Royal Ascot in 1986. Her forties asymmetric bun was a refreshing change from her usual open hair and looked classy with her metallic woven headpiece.
