Kate Gosselin Custody Battle Rumors Surface; Jon Gosselin Reportedly Fighting For Daughter Hannah

There is rumored to be some drama going on behind-the-scenes of “Kate Plus 8.” Following accusations of child abuse against the show’s star Kate Gosselin in February, reports are now surfacing stating that Jon Gosselin, a former star of the TLC reality series, is seeking full custody of one of his eight children, Hannah, 11.

A report in the May 25 issue of In Touch claims that Hannah, who is part of the Gosselin’s famous sextuplets, recently complained to Jon, 38, of Kate’s “cruelty" at her Wernersville, Pennsylvania, home. According to the magazine, following his daughter's admission Jon “took emergency custody of Hannah,” despite his ex-wife Kate having primary custody, and contacted the Children & Youth Services in Berks County to file a complaint.

“He doesn’t want to take the children away from their mother, but he wants them to be safe and have a normal childhood.” a source said.

In Touch claims that Jon kept Hannah at his home for four days in late-April. After Kate, 40, unsuccessfully tried to get her daughter back — “She showed up at Jon’s house and stood in the street screaming for Hannah to come home,” says an insider — she allegedly contacted local authorities. The magazine reports that in retaliation, Kate accused her ex-husband of "threatening her" and leaving Hannah home alone while he was out working as a deejay.

While Hannah has since returned to Kate’s home with her siblings, fellow sextuplets Aaden, Collin, Leah, Joel and Alexis, and 14-year-old twins Mady and Cara, Jon is said to be following through with his plans to modify their custody agreement. If he succeeds, he will reportedly request TLC “put a stop to filming” his family for “Kate Plus 8.”

“Hannah doesn’t want to film but Kate is making her,” the magazine's source said. “And she’s not the only child who has no interest in being on the show.”

Us Weekly confirmed the custody battle rumors on Thursday, reporting that a “source” had informed them Jon is planning to seek full custody of Hannah. The magazine stated that the reasoning for his attempts were unknown.

While Kate, whose rep denied the request to comment on In Touch’s story, has kept mum about the rumors on social media, she did post a suspicious tweet about her ex of 10 years on Twitter this month. “Hey! Can you help me again? I’m in 24 hour protection mode here,” Radar Online reported the reality star posted on May 1. “Can you find out where Jon DJ’s tonight and tomorrow pm literally ASAP?”
