Kate Gosselin Says Twins Have ‘Limited Time’ Left At Home
It seems Kate Gosselin is getting ready for the day her two eldest daughters leave the nest. The “Kate Plus 8” star posted an Instagram update this week about her 17-year-old twins, Mady and Cara Gosselin, revealing they only have “limited time left at home.”
The post in question showed Mady, whom she shares with ex-husband Jon Gosselin, posing for a selfie. Kate, 42, captioned the shot with a heart emoji and included the hashtags “growing up,” “beautiful,” “cherishing every moment” and “limited time left at home.”
Kate last gushed about her eldest daughters following their birthday this past October.
“....And then you blink, and they TURN SEVENTEEN!! Happy birthday to my girls! My heart hurts because you’re almost adults and will soon leave for college, yet it smiles because I am seeing who you've become: brilliant, beautiful, kind, caring, logical, responsible, empathetic, honest, amazing individuals!” Kate wrote at the time. “I love you both SO VERY MUCH!”
While it’s unclear what the future holds for Mady and Cara, the two did discuss the topic in a July 2017 sit-down with People Magazine. Mady told the outlet she hopes to “perform in some way” and dreams of writing a memoir. Cara, on the other hand, said she was looking forward to attending college away from her Pennsylvania home.
“I want to go far away,” Cara told People. “I want to be a doctor.”
If the twins do have limited time left at home, Kate can still anticipate having a very packed household in their absence. While her and Jon’s 13-year-old son Collin has been away since 2016 (Kate has previously said that Collin has “special needs”), she still has his sextuplets siblings, Aaden, Joel, Leah, Alexis and Hannah, at home.
Of course, Kate also has a lot of four-legged babies, who she frequently updates about on her Instagram account, to take care of.
