Kate Hudson Shaves Off Golden Locks For New Role [PHOTO]

On Tuesday, Hudson, 38, was spotted in Los Angeles sporting a buzz cut for her new project with Sia. The “Bride Wars” actress looked absolutely stunning and totally badass in her new hairdo, Entertainment Tonight reported.

According to Daily Mail, Hudson and Sia’s project could be a musical number titled “Sister.” Her stepfather, Kurt Russell mentioned about the “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days” star’s potential project that will be directed by Sia in an interview with Harry Connick Jr. “I don’t know if I’m letting the cat out of the bag, if the deal’s not made or anything, but I think that she’s gonna do this musical that Sia is going to direct. That sounds fantastic, so I hope that happens,” he said.

“Sister” has been in the pipeline for over two years already. Sia first announced the film in September 2015 at the Venice International Film Festival. “I was too embarrassed to tell anyone I wanted to make a movie because I thought it would be seen as a vanity project because I was a singer...” Sia explained. “And then last year, after I made the ‘Chandelier’ video, I realized that I was pretty good at directing, so I felt a little bit braver.” The movie will be based on the one-page short story that the “Cheap Thrills” singer wrote eight years ago.

Meanwhile, Hudson has been trying to hide her shaved head. On Saturday, Hudson shared a snapshot on Instagram with her son, Bingham, 6. The mother and son were snuggling as they reclined on a sun lounger. The “Almost Famous” star was noticeably disguising her new haircut because she added a floral crown Snapchat filter and put her arm on her head. “Saturday Snuggles,” she wrote in the caption. On Tuesday, Hudson shared another photo with Leslie Odom Jr. However, the photo only featured her face alongside Odom’s. The actress hid her cropped head again. “In the room where it’s all happening... w/ @leslieodomjr,” the caption reads.

ET noted that Hudson and the “Chandelier” singer were spotted together earlier this month grabbing lunch together. At the time, the “Deepwater Horizon” still had her golden locks. Meanwhile, Sia, who was rarely seen in public without a hairpiece that covers her face sported a toned all-black outfit with minimal makeup and without a wig.
