Angelina Jolie did not invent the thigh-high split dress but she might as well have. From Kate Middleton to Anja Rubik, everyone seems to be Anglina Jolie'ing these days.

It all started when the stunning mother of six purposefully stuck her right leg out from underneath her Atelier Versace gown on the 2012 Oscars red carpet. Angelina Jolie's right leg proved to be the star of this year's Oscars. The stance made waves on the Internet and quickly spawned its own meme and Twitter handle.

This week, Kate Middleton flaunted her right leg in a creamy white Roland Mouret gown and Jimmy Choo shoes while out to a private dinner at Claridge's in Mayfair for a meeting of the Thirty Club with husband Prince William, according to the Daily Mail. The sexy thigh-high slit had many talking about the Duchess of Cambridge's bold fashion choice and likening her to Ms. Jolie.

Another starlet caught Angelina Jolie'ing recently was Anja Rubik. The Polish Victoria's Secret model was photographed with her entire right leg jutting out from under her Anthony Vaccerello Spring 2012 hip-slit dress at the Met Gala in New York City on May 7. Since the slit in the dress went practically up to her stomach, Rubik's red carpet poses revealed her hipbone and her entire right leg.

The blonde model made headlines the following morning and many compared her to Angelina Jolie. Wow, @anjarubikblog sure did give Angelina Jolie a run for her money at #MetGala tweeted FabSugar.

The Hollywood Reporter noted that the dress could have been strategically designed to channel Angelina Jolie.
