Kate Middleton is no doubt a hands-on mom to her children and has opened up about the wide variety of activities she enjoys with her children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. And now, she may have another skill to pass on to her only daughter.

During her and Prince William's two-day trip to Northern Ireland last week, Middleton reportedly attended a masterclass on makeup with children at Malvern Primary School, Hello! reported. During the class, she was asked to help braid the hair of a young girl. She was at a stage makeup demonstration taught by Cinemagic. The organization uses film, television and digital technologies to help and inspire the youth.

The duchess reportedly looked perfectly at ease as she braided the girl's hair and talked to the youngsters. There's no doubt Middleton has already mastered the plaiting technique and could teach this skill to her daughter Princess Charlotte in the future. Duchess Kate could also apply her newly mastered skill on her daughter's hair in the future when it gets long enough, so royal fans could see Princess Charlotte sporting some adorable hairstyles soon.

Aside from learning how to braid hair, Middleton also revealed the nickname she calls Princess Charlotte at home during their trip to Northern Ireland.

Laura-Ann, a Belfast-based blogger, revealed last week on Instagram Stories that she and her 2-year-old son George met Middleton at Windsor Park Stadium, People reported. She apparently got to chat with the duchess and learned an adorable tidbit about Middleton's daughter, Princess Charlotte.

In the video she posted on social media, Laura-Ann explained that Middleton asked her how old her other son was. It was after she said her older son's age that she learned what Middleton calls her only daughter. “And I said is he is 4 and she said, ‘Oh, he’s the same age as Lottie’ – she calls her Lottie!” the blogger said in the clip.

Meanwhile, Princess Charlotte has an exciting year ahead as she is set to start school in September. At the moment, the little princess is in her final year at Willcocks Nursery school, where she has participated in a wide variety of activities like pottery and poetry. She is also believed to have played a role in her first nativity play during her time in the school and celebrated her birthday with a cake for her class in May last year.

Princess Charlotte is expected to join big brother Prince George in Thomas's Battersea, which is close to the Cambridges' home in Kensington Palace. But there is still a possibility that Prince William and Middleton will choose a different alma mater for their only daughter which would be better suited for her needs and personality.
