Kate Middleton Decorates Prince George, Princess Charlotte's Rooms With Ikea Furniture
Kate Middleton and Prince William have decided to decorate their children’s rooms with furniture from Ikea.
Last year, the royal couple toured Sweden, and they also visited the National Museum of Architecture and Design in Stockholm. While speaking with Ikea’s head of design Marcus Engman, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge revealed that they have a handful of Ikea furniture at home.
After his conversation with the royal couple, Engman told the press that he was proud that Ikea’s furniture is suited for everyone. “I’m proud that we can suit everybody. That’s what we want Ikea to be – for the many people of the world, both royalty and ordinary people,” he said.
Prince William and Middleton have been residing in Kensington Palace for years. Their house was reportedly decorated by interior designer Ben Pantreath. But the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are not the only royals who are currently living in Kensington Palace.
Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Princess Eugenie, Jack Brooksbank, the Duke and Duchess of Kent, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, and Prince and Princess Michael of Kent.
Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip are residing at Buckingham Palace and Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles are currently living in Clarence House.
However, Prince Harry and Markle are rumored to leave Kensington Palace next year. They are currently having their Frogmore Cottage renovated ahead of their baby’s arrival. According to Entertainment Tonight, the move has to do with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s alleged feud with Prince William and Middleton.
Additionally, Prince Harry and Markle reportedly love the country and their current home in Nottingham Cottage is quite small for their growing family.
“The new property [Frogmore Cottage] will have 10 bedrooms and a nursery as Meghan and Harry grow their family and plenty of room for Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, to spend time with them,” a source said.
Prince William won’t move out of Kensington Palace because this will be his permanent home when he becomes King.
