Kate Middleton Dubbed ‘Children’s Princess,’ A Hands-On Royal Unlike Meghan, Netizens Claim
Kate Middleton was recently named as the patron of Family Action, an organization that Queen Elizabeth served as a patron of for over 65 years.
Kensington Palace made the announcement on Instagram by sharing a series of photos of the Duchess of Cambridge hanging out with the adorable kids from the organization.
“The Duchess joined children and families supported by Family Action at a Christmas tree farm and helped them to make Christmas decorations, eco-friendly reindeer food, and post their letters to Father Christmas! The new patronage aligns with The Duchess’s longstanding work in the early years, and the importance of supporting children and families during this seminal period of their lives,” the palace said.
Fans of Prince William’s wife couldn’t contain their excitement after hearing the Duchess of Cambridge’s latest patronage. One of them said that she loves the fact that the future Queen just jumped right into the role.
“I agree. She is going to be a hands-on Queen,” one Instagram user said.
“She is normal. Started life just like many of us. Just happened o fall in love with a prince,” another netizen wrote.
But one Instagram user said that there’s no reason for Middleton to not be normal because she wasn’t born a royal.
“I suspect the royals are as normal as they can be when not on display or doing public duties,” dolpindoll32019 wrote.
One royal fan also dubbed Prince William’s wife as the Children’s Princess. “A true beauty,” the_cambridge_family added.
Other supporters said that Middleton is perfect for her new role as the patron of Family Action. But one critic said that it’s just too early to say that since Meghan Markle would’ve also been perfect for the role.
“It is not too early to say that. The large majority of we Brits admire the Duchess of Cambridge and acknowledge that she has worked hard for us. She has been a member of the royal family long enough to earn being referred to as the People’s Duchess and that distinction will only grow as she proceeds to one day become Princess of Wales and Queen Consort,” the_curious_muse defended.
