Meghan Markle is not the only member of the royal family who lost at least one royal aide.

In the documentary “William & Kate: The Journey,” royal expert Ashley Pearson revealed that Kate Middleton also lost two of her staff months after she married Prince William. Pearson also said that the Duchess of Cambridge’s approach to royal life upset a lot of her staff.

“Kate had broken precedent in the sense that she does more for herself than anyone else in her position has ever done before. In fact, not long ago, Kate and William’s head housekeeper and head gardener both quit – they were a married couple,” she said.

The expert also said that the gardener and housekeeper’s exit from the royal household was so controversial because they previously worked for Queen Elizabeth II.

“There was a lot of speculation at that time that Carole Middleton had been interfering in the housekeeper’s duties, that Kate Middleton was doing a lot for herself and that didn’t sit too well with staff,” Pearson said.

But Middleton cannot be blamed entirely for taking on more responsibilities compared to the other royals. After all, she didn’t grow up with household servants unlike her husband Prince William.

“She likes to cook, she likes to do things for William, and she very much likes the privacy one gets without servants around,” the source said.

In related news, Markle is faced with the same dilemma at the moment. At least one of her royal aides have already resigned from her post. A second aide, Samantha Cohen, who also worked for Her Majesty, is expected to resign after Markle gives birth next year.

News about Markle’s aides resigning came just days after it was also revealed that the Duchess of Sussex has been branded as a “Difficult Duchess.” She allegedly has a string of outrageous demands, wakes up very early, and sends out of emails filled with requests to her staff.

There has also been a report about Markle asking for air fresheners to be placed inside St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle before her May 19 wedding to help get rid of the “musty” smell.
