Kate Middleton, 37, and Meghan Markle, 38, have been pitted to each other since the latter entered the life of the British Royal family. The wives of Prince William, 37, and Prince Harry, 35, have, even, been compared to one other, with the Duchess of Cambridge getting all the praises most of the time. Now, reports suggested that Kate’s most-recent outfit has a connection to her sister-in-law.

On Wednesday, Kate visited the Angela Marmont Centre for U.K. Biodiversity in London’s Natural History Museum. The better half of Prince William, at the time, donned a plum Warehouse sweater and green khaki culottes. She completed the look with a matching Tod’s high heels and a cute Chanel bag.

Aside from the fact that the Duchess of Cambridge looked stunning in her ensemble, Royal followers found that Jigsaw, a British retailer, is the brand of Kate’s culottes. What most people do not know is that, Jigsaw was one of the brands included in Meghan Markle’s recent charity capsule collection. Prince Harry’s partner launched a clothing collection to raise funds as support to the Smart Works charity.

Aside from Jigsaw – the brand that Kate Middleton wore, Marks & Spencer, John Lewis & Partners and Meghan’s designer pal Misha Nonoo created the high street range, as per New Idea. For starters, Smart Works provides training and interview clothes for unemployed women. Meghan has been known for her commitment to supporting women empowerment.

Making things more interesting is the fact that Kate used to work at Jigsaw when she and Prince William were still dating. In 2006, the mother of three -- Prince George, 5, Princess Charlotte, 4, and Prince Louis, 1 -- was hired as accessories buyer after brand founder Belle Robinson contacted her personally.

Meanwhile, there is no denying that Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle have become fashion icons in their own rights. Besides the fact that the two Duchesses can easily slay whatever pieces they wear, the duo has proven, time and again, that they can give instant sales and exposure boosts to any fashion label. While the wife of Prince William is fond of sporting bright-colored and “reserved” outfits, the helpmeet of Prince Harry, usually, chooses dark neutrals with edgy style.
