Kate Middleton Gave Prince George This Clear Instruction Before Entering Thomas’s Battersea
Kate Middleton had some nice words for her children right before they started their first day of school at Thomas’s Battersea.
The Duchess of Cambridge sent Prince George and Princess Charlotte for the first time together with Prince William. Last year, it was only the Duke of Cambridge who was on hand for Prince George’s first day of school at Thomas’s Battersea.
According to lip-reading expert Tina Lannin, Middleton encouraged Prince George to show his sister the way since he’s a returning student at the institution. Before entering the school, the Cambridges were welcomed by the headteacher.
“Are we ready to go? How exciting,” the headteacher said. A shy Princess Charlotte shook the teacher’s hand but she didn’t say anything. It was Prince William who spoke on behalf of his kids.
“The first day – she’s very excited,” the second in line to the throne said.
Shortly after the brief exchange, Prince William and Middleton escorted their two older children inside the school. But other than the conversation that they had on the grounds of Thomas’s Battersea, the Cambridges also made headlines after it was revealed that there was tension between the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
While speaking with Express, body language expert Judi James said that the royal couple seemed very like-minded during their outing. Their choreographed body language approach during such an emotional moment suggested that they in sync at that time.
“Both sported rather forced-looking smiles to suggest some natural ‘first-day-at-school’ tension, but both seemed to want to avoid any unnecessary fussing that could have prompted tears,” she said.
Prince William and Middleton’s tension had to do with the fact that their children’s mood during the outing was very fragile. This means that the royal couple didn’t have any idea how Prince George and Princess Charlotte will react upon meeting the headteacher.
Luckily for the Cambridges, everything turned out well for them during the outing.
