Oh, how Kate Middleton has changed.

While it likely goes without saying that when a person becomes royalty their life undergoes some drastic changes, Kate Middleton has certainly changed. However, one of those differences is surprisingly shocking -- her voice.

It's not so much the sound of Kate's voice, but how she uses it and the way she speaks that has seemingly changed since marrying into the royal family.

James Bryce, CEO of gweek, the category leader of Speech Intelligence, explained to Express how the Duchess of Cambridge's voice sounded during an interview following her engagement to Prince William.

"She gives you a genuine sense of how she feels at the time," he said. "She is authentic but perhaps staying very much on point. There is not much evidence of formal training here.”

Fast forward to today, the 37-year-old seems more calculated in her delivery and even uses a script, which Bryce claimed made her seem less authentic.

"The script is an obstacle," he shared. "She reads it sufficiently well, but her full speech intelligence is held back by the script."

"If she had discarded the script and spoken from the heart, then she would come across as the full, authentic Kate," Bryce added.

Kate has clearly come a long way since her 2011 wedding to Prince William, and like most people, she will surely continue to learn and grow over time. As the future Queen of England, she does have another key aspect down pat already -- her causes.

"She has found work that she’s really passionate about," a source revealed. "She spent a lot of time at the start of her royal life learning about social issues and challenges like addiction, homelessness, mental health. It became clear to her that one of the main causes of it all was things not going right in the early years, so she knows the potential advantages to doing things in this space. It’s about solving much bigger problems but doing it early."
