Kate Middleton Isn’t Having Trouble With ‘Meghan Markle Mania,’ Says Report
Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, doesn’t feel threatened by incoming royal Meghan Markle. Despite rumors Prince William’s wife feels “jealous” and possibly overshadowed by Prince Harry’s fiancée, one report is now shooting down claims suggesting there is bad blood within Britain’s royal family.
Gossip Cop, which has been successfully blasting rumors regarding the Windsor clan for several weeks, reported Tuesday evening that Celebrity Insider’s report on the Duchess of Cambridge and Markle is untrue.
Celebrity Insider said Middleton’s alleged jealousy towards the former “Suits” actress was due to the Duchess of Cambridge being “pushed out of the spotlight” following Markle’s newly announced engagment to her brother-in-law.
“Kate was never trained to pose in front of cameras or speak before crowds in a way that can compare to the ‘Suits’ actress,” the blog reported, suggesting the duchess may not be able to “cope with Meghan mania.”
Added the outlet, “In the immediate future, Kate may have to resign herself to being unable to outdo the attention that Markle is enjoying.”
After the report caused some buzz, Gossip Cop reached out to a royal insider, who exclusively denied Celebrity Insider’s claims, saying, “There’s no truth to the report.”
Of course, Middleton herself has shared her excitement over Prince Harry’s upcoming wedding.
“William and I are absolutely thrilled,” Middleton told reporters outside The Foundling Museum in northwest London on Nov. 28. “It’s such exciting news,” she added. “It’s a really happy time for any couple and we wish them all the best and hope they enjoy this happy moment.”
Middleton and Prince William shared a similar sentiment in their shared statement following the couple’s engagement announcement. “We are very excited for Harry and Meghan,” the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge said. “It has been wonderful getting to know Meghan and to see how happy she and Harry are together.”
