Kate Middleton recently made a surprise appearance at the “Nutcracker” show at the Royal Opera House.

The Duchess of Cambridge headed to the evening performance after attending the annual pre-Christmas lunch hosted by Queen Elizabeth II in Sandringham. Middleton wore the same Zara cape she used during her lunch with Prince William’s entire family, according to the Daily Mail.

Middleton, who is pregnant with her third child, attended the “Nutcracker” show by herself. Her husband, Prince William, spent the rest of the day with their two kids, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. He also bonded with his brother, Prince Harry and his fiancée, Meghan Markle.

Following their performance, Middleton also had the chance to talk to the cast of the “Nutcracker.” Meaghan Hinkis, a member of The Royal Ballet, shared her photo with Middleton on Instagram. “To say I was excited to meet the Duchess, is a colossal understatement,” she wrote. However, the photo has since been deleted.

Meanwhile, Middleton and Prince William will be celebrating Christmas Eve in Sandringham with the queen. Middleton got invited to the annual festivities after she got married to Prince William.

Prince Harry’s fiancé, on the other hand, was invited to the queen’s house even before their wedding. Markle’s family is in Los Angeles and the former actress already sold her house in Canada to start a life in Los Angeles.

On Christmas morning, Prince Harry and Markle will be spending time with Prince George and Princess Charlotte. The couple will be helping the kids open their presents.

Middleton and Prince William will also open their Anmer Hall home for Markle, who will be staying with them over the holidays.

After Christmas, Markle will be reuniting with Prince Harry in his Nottingham home. This is also where they will be residing after their May 19, 2018 wedding. Prince Harry and Markle’s wedding will take place at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.

Other details about the nuptials are still being kept under wraps.
