Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle Both Did ‘Eye-Opener’ Performances That Changed Their Lives
Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle both did something that was considered a “life-changing” performance.
The Duchess of Cambridge and Duchess of Sussex are often pitted against each other. However, there was something that both of them did that changed their lives.
Middleton joined the Don’t Walk fashion show at St. Andrews University where she donned a glamorous see-through dress over a black bikini. According to her fellow student Helen McArdle, what Middleton did was something different and surprising for her to do because she was quite “demure.”
Royal experts believed that Middleton caught Prince William’s attention for that reason. It was at that point when the Duke of Cambridge realized that he had feelings for her.
“[William’s] eyes popped out and he turned to his friend and he said ‘Wow, Kate’s hot!’” royal biographer Katie Nicholl said.
“A butterfly emerged from the chrysalis,” Prince William’s friend Jules Knight said.
Meanwhile Markle had a similar experience. The Duchess of Sussex surprised her teachers and classmates when she played Lola in high school production of Damn Yankees.
“It’s was like ‘Woooo!’ She was extraordinary,” one audience told Andrew Morton in his book “Meghan: A Hollywood Princess.”
For the play, Markle wore the little spangly number while doing shimmies. Although one may find it sexy it was not lewd for the audience.
“It wasn’t lewd. She was playing a character. It was sweet in a way, but it was also like ‘Wow. This was a girl with star quality,” the source said.
According to Morton, Markle’s performance was an eye-opener to her teachers because her performance gave them a different glimpse of her.
“Normally seen as fun, thoughtful, mature and controlled, Meghan’s amorous song and dance routine was a revelation,” he added.
Morton considered Middleton and Markle’s performances “very similar.“ For him, those incidents showed a different side of them that was more than being clever and composed.
