Kate Middleton Is Meghan Markle's 'Pillar Of Support,' Expert Says

Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle have formed a solid friendship, especially amid the latter's family drama.

Katie Nicholl, a royal correspondent of Vanity Fair, recently claimed that the Duchess of Cambridge has become the Duchess of Sussex's "pillar of support." Markle is reportedly already "at her wits end" over her father's decision to make shocking claims about Markle and their family in paid interviews. The members of the royal family have been supportive of the new duchess, especially her sister-in-law, Middleton.

"Kate's well aware of what Meghan is going through. Her family has been dragged through the tabloids and she knows it's not nice. She's made a big effort to be kind to Meghan and look out for her," a source told Nicholl.

Markle's half-sister, Samantha, has dragged the Middletons in their family drama. Back in May, Samantha called the Duchess of Cambridge's family "dysfunctional" when she complained about Markle's coat of arms.

"Our father should be named on the coat of arms and for the Royals to deprive him of that is classless. People in glass houses should not throw stones. The Royals are far from perfect. Kate Middleton siblings and parents use that coat of arms. Middleton's are dysfunctional," she wrote on Twitter.

Initially, reports claimed that the two royals don't get along so well. In contrast, they are building a great relationship. In fact, they attended Wimbledon together and there was no rivalry between the two.

"She very much let Kate take the lead," veteran royal photographer Mark Stewart told People about Middleton and Markle's sighting at the event. "There was no rivalry. It shows how well Meghan has adapted as she is aware that Kate will be Queen one day and her position is different."

Also, another source said that Middleton had gone out of her way just to help Prince Harry's wife with her new role. Middleton and the Duke of Sussex are close, so she exerted an effort to make her sister-in-law welcome at the palace.

"It's a friendship that is still slowly blossoming," a source said. "Kate has gone out of her way to be friendly to Meghan, and Meghan has been very grateful for that."

Prince William, Middleton, Prince Harry and Markle will be reuniting this weekend. The fab four will reportedly attend Charlie van Straubenzee and Daisy Jenk's wedding.
