Kate Middleton Photographed Sans Princess Charlotte With Prince William At Wimbledon
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were spotted out and about in London, England, on Wednesday. Prince William and Kate Middleton appeared to have left their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, at home to attend a day nine match of the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Championships at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.
Photos from the event show the 33-year-old Duchess looking put together in a knee-length, red dress. Prince William, 33, sported a suit, but appeared to coordinate wth his wife of four years by wearing a red tie.
While the couple's children, Prince George, 23 months, and Princess Charlotte, 2 months, were not with them (possibly due to the rule which states children under 5 are not allowed in the show courts) during their outing, they were not alone. The pair was photographed at the match alongside All England Tennis Club Chairman Philip Brook. In several shots, the Duke and Duchess can be seen conversing with Brook.
Despite not being completely alone during their day out, it appears the duo enjoyed their time together. The couple was photographed smiling, clapping and chatting with one another when they were not watching the game. One image even shows William giving Kate a sweet smile as she joyfully takes in the match.
William and Kate’s appearance at Wimbledon comes three days after their daughter Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana of Cambridge’s christening. The highly anticipated ceremony took place at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham, England, on Sunday and everyone from Queen Elizabeth II to Prince Charles attended. In honor of the celebration, Kate wore an equally-stunning number to her latest ensemble, a white Alexander McQueen dress. Her sister, Pippa Middleton, who appeared at Wimbledon on Monday, wore a similar number by Emilia Wickstead.
The next big celebration for Britain's royal family is Prince George’s second birthday. The momentous occasion will take place on July 22.
