According to Express, the royal couple would be forced to transfer to Buckingham Palace because this is the official residence of the monarch. But before Prince William and Middleton move to Buckingham Palace, the property will first serve as the home of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles. After all, Prince Charles is the one who will succeed Her Majesty.

No matter the inequity of it, the Duchess of Cambridge is never really going to be able to escape the global shadow of her high-reaching, high-achieving sister-in-law,” she said.
