Kate Middleton Pregnancy Rumor Update: Duchess Reportedly Expecting A Baby Boy, Not Twin Girls

Following last month's rumors that the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, was pregnant with twin girls, one tabloid is now reporting the British royal is expecting just one baby, another boy, with Prince William.

According to a report from the July 7 print edition of InTouch Weekly, “royal insiders are buzzing” that Middleton is, once again, with child.

“Everyone in their inner circle is whispering that they’re pregnant,” a source told the tabloid for their feature “Kate Announces Baby No. 2,” adding that the duke and duchess, both 32, started trying for a second baby just two months ago.

While the royal couple already have a son, and eventual heir to the throne, in HRH Prince George, who will turn one later this month, royal insiders claim the duo are adamant they’re expecting another. “They want another boy,” reported one source. “Having two sons close in age like William and Prince Harry would be a dream come true.”

As with previous pregnancy rumors, Clarence House has yet to confirm or deny if the duchess is expecting, but eyewitnesses to her latest solo outing to England’s Bletchley Park June 18, claim the pregnancy is obvious. “Her face looked fuller,” said one attendee of her visit to the famous World War II spy center. The tabloid’s photographs of the duchess also show her resting her hand on her abdomen. (See the photos here.)

While the couple may be thrilled about Prince George’s potential new playmate, insiders claim William is fearful for his wife of three years’ health. “He’s very protective and doesn’t want her to take too much on,” said a source, who claimed that Middleton has not slowed down her plans to oversee renovations their country home, Amner Hall, despite his disapproval. “There’s no stopping Kate at the moment. She’s on a mission to get everything done. She’s very hands-on and hates to leave things to other people.”

Luckily for William, Middleton won’t be shopping for baby clothes anytime soon. Citing her affinity for repeating her designer garb, royal insiders say hand-me-downs are not out of the question for the rumored new royal. “Kate has kept all of George’s baby clothes and toys packed away for the next one,” said a source.

Contradicting InTouch Weekly’s latest report, Middleton looked slim as ever during her appearance at William’s charity polo match in Cirencester Park Polo Club in England June 15. While the Father’s Day event was meant to feature William's polo skills, a (walking!) Prince George’s attendance reportedly stole the show.

“He was intrigued with a polo mallet,” reported ABC News. “George kept the crowd absorbed, kicking a quilted soccer ball and he was wiggling around the field.”
