Although Kate Middleton and Prince William are already parents to Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, the public continue to speculate if the Duchess of Cambridge will become pregnant with a fourth child.

While the couple seems to have their hands full with their three small children, a royal commentator believes Kate would welcome a fourth pregnancy.

During a conversation with Fabulous Digital, Phil Dampier claimed another baby would allow kate to step out of the spotlight and enjoy a somewhat quiet life.

“Not only does she love family life in Norfolk, to be honest it gives her an excuse to not be at the forefront of royal duties for a bit longer, which I don’t think she enjoys,” he said.

“I think Kate’s been interacting with the public and doing very well recently, but from what I’m told she’d rather be at home with the children.”

A fourth baby would not only allow Kate to spend more time with her kids, but it could also strengthen her children’s relationships. “A fourth one could mean she’d have two girls and two boys. This would mean a sister for Charlotte but also a child who is a similar age to Louis, so that would be a nice dynamic,” Dampier explained.

The royal expert believes Kate is in control of the number of children she and William will have. Rather than having an heir and a spare, Kate and William appear to be expanding their family according to Kate’s childhood.

Seeing as Kate is the oldest out of her siblings, Pippa and James Middleton, Dampier claims a royal baby decision is “very much down to her as she came from a family of three.”

Although Kate and Prince William have not announced plans for a fourth child, the public continues to observe the couple in hopes of spotting a royal baby bump.
