Kate Middleton, Prince William Had Outrageous Baby Expenses Just Like Meghan Markle

Kate Middleton and Prince William reportedly also had outrageous baby-related expenses just like Meghan Markle.

The Duchess of Sussex was heavily criticized following her lavish baby shower in New York with her close friends. However, according to royal experts, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have also splurged a ridiculous amount for their royal babies.

“What’s the difference between that and then the world’s press descending on the hospital after the baby is born to take glamorous photos of the made-up new mum with her baby? How much taxpayers money goes into funding security for something like that?” royal correspondent Omid Scobie defended Markle.

The press and photographers always camped outside Lindo Wing waiting for Prince William and Middleton to introduce their newborn to the world. They did this during the public debut for all three of their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

According to Scobie, Markle would have needed security to move around regardless of whether she has a big or small baby shower.

ITV royal commentator Chris Ship also pointed out the similarities between Prince William and Middleton’s security costs while they were enjoying a ski trip to Markle’s five-day stay in the Big Apple.

“What’s the difference between what Meghan did in New York and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William and Kate, going skiing with their children and no doubt took some police protection with them to whichever mountain range they went to?” Ship asked.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took a break from their royal duties last week to enjoy quality time with their kids as Prince George and Princess Charlotte were on their half-term break. The Cambridges reportedly enjoyed the ski slopes together.

Prince William and Middleton love winter sports. Three years ago, they took Prince George and Princess Charlotte to four-star ski resort Courchevel in the Trois Vallees in France where rooms cost $369 per night.

In related news, royal commentator Angela Levin advised Prince Harry to step in and contradict his wife Markle when necessary. Levin is among those who weren’t pleased with Markle’s extravagant baby shower. According to her, many found it as an “exhibition of extravagance at a time of national hardship.”
