Kate Middleton, Prince William Ready To Break Royal Rules For Children
Kate Middleton and Prince William are ready to break royal rules for their kids.
According to Kaisha Langton of Express, the Duke and duchess of Cambridge are willing to snub the royal protocol in a bid to stay closer to their children. Prince William and Middleton have previously broken a royal rule, and they are willing to do it again this year.
Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip took a six-month-long tour when they visited 13 countries in the West Indies, Australasia, Asia and Africa. The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh were forced to leave their two children Prince Charles and Princess Anne due to their exhausting schedule. However, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge won’t be following the Queen’s example as they won’t be spending that long away from their children.
Prince William and Middleton have reportedly decided to limit the time of their travel. They are due to visit Pakistan this year, but their trip won’t be longer than one week. At present, there is no scheduled date for the official tour yet due to the growing tensions between Islamabad and New Delhi. There are fears that it might be canceled.
“Clearly the situation arising from India’s recent revoking of the special status of the disputed region of Kashmir, which is administered by India, will be monitored closely by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and its evaluation of how events proceed will obviously determine whether the visit goes ahead,” royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams said.
Prince William and Middleton have always bent the rule of not traveling with their kids. There’s reportedly an unofficial travel rule forbidding the heirs to board the same flight to avoid affecting the line of succession in case of a fatal crash.
However, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge just broke it when they flew to Mustique last month where they celebrated Prince George’s birthday. It wasn’t the first time they broke the said rule. The couple also brought Prince George when they traveled to Canada and toured in Australia and New Zealand.
