Kate Middleton, Prince William Showed PDA In Northern Ireland And Most Missed It
Kate Middleton and Prince William rarely show PDA, but they did in one of their outings this week.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge made a surprise royal visit to Northern Ireland earlier this week. Prince William and Middleton stepped out at Belfast’s Empire Music Hall together and got really affectionate during the event, but many almost missed it, Harper’s Bazaar reported.
While the royal mom of three was among the crowd, she reportedly excused herself from a conversation with a young man and placed a hand on Prince William’s back while he chatted with the guests. The future king looked over at his wife and placed his arm around her. When Middleton walked towards another guest to say hello, Prince William pulled her closer and introduced her to the people he was talking to.
The couple also made the same gesture during a soccer game earlier in the day. Middleton was photographed placing a hand on Prince William’s back, and he was later seen putting his hand on her arm.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge aren’t as tactile as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle often hold hands even when they’re on official business. Prince William and Middleton don’t often do this, so when they do, royal fans easily notice it.
According to body language expert Judi James, there are different meanings as to the way Prince William and Middleton and Prince Harry and Markle hold hands.
“William and Kate’s hand-hold is clearly affectionate although not overly intimate or too telling,” James said about Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis’ parents.
“Harry and Meghan use the far more intimate form of hand-holding with their fingers splayed and entwined or meshed,” James said about the soon-to-be parents. “This is a more romantic form of hand-holding and suggests a desire to be as close to your partner as possible.”
Prince William, Middleton, Prince Harry and Markle are rumored to be feuding. Just recently, Robert Jobson confirmed the “confrontation” between the two duchesses. According to the royal commentator, he couldn’t say if it was true that Markle made Middleton cry, but he is certain about the confrontation.
The fab four will be reuniting this month for Prince Charles’ investiture. Prince William, Middleton, Prince Harry and Markle will join the Prince of Wales, Camilla Parker Bowles and more in the reception that Queen Elizabeth II will be hosting at the Buckingham Palace.
