Kate Middleton, Prince William Working With Another Royal Couple After Harry, Meghan’s Exit

Kate Middleton and Prince William will be working with another royal couple after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle resigned.

Last week, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced that they are stepping away from their royal roles. Initially, royal fans were hoping that they would see Prince William, Middleton, Prince Harry and Markle together. But it didn’t happen because the Cambridges and Sussexes decided to split their household.

Although Prince William and Middleton will not be working with the Sussexes following their resignation, the future king and queen will be working with another royal couple. Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex will be accompanying the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in the upcoming U.K.–Africa Investment Summit, Fox News reported.

“The summit will demonstrate the strength of the relationship between the U.K. and Africa, showcase and promote the breadth and quality of investment opportunities across Africa and highlight the U.K.’s commitment to supporting economic development in Africa, including through the creation of jobs and new partnerships, ” Kensington Palace said in a statement obtained by People.

Prince William and Middleton will be hosting a reception for the event at the Buckingham Palace. Prince Harry and Markle are not expected to be there. The Duchess of Sussex is already in Canada. She immediately flew back to Vancouver after dropping their big announcement to reunite with their son Archie who didn’t join them when they returned to the U.K. The Cambridges will be joining forces with the Earl and Countess of Wessex.

Prince Edward is Queen Elizabeth II’s youngest son and Prince William’s uncle. Prince Edward and Sophie have two children: Louise, 16, and James, 12.

According to the royal family’s website, Prince Edward has a busy schedule and supports a large number of charities. He is especially passionate about organizations and causes that provide opportunities to young people.
