Kate Middleton And Prince William’s Baby Will Be Related To Hollywood Celebrities; Blue Ivy Carter To Be 23rd Cousin Twice Removed

Kate Middleton and Prince William’s baby, the Prince or Princess of Cambridge, is related to Hollywood's elite with celebrity couples Beyoncé and Jay-Z, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, and Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner counting as distant cousins, genealogy website Findmypast.co.uk reported.

Blue Ivy Carter, Beyonce and Jay Z’s daughter, who is related to the Queen through the French royal lineage, will be the royal baby’s 23rd cousin twice removed. The biological children of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will be the royal baby’s 27th cousins.

“It's long been said that the USA and UK have a special relationship, and that is certainly the case between Hollywood's elite and the Royal Family,” Debra Chatfield, a family historian at findmypast.co.uk told the Daily Mail.

But, it will be Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner’s children -- Violet, Seraphina and Samuel -- who will be the closest cousins of the royal baby. The children will be the 11th cousins of the royal baby, thanks to a family line that connects Affleck and Princess Diana, the genealogy website stated.

Comparing the ancestry of various celebrity couples to that of Queen Elizabeth II, Catherine Middleton and Diana, Findmypast.co.uk found that most of Hollywood's connections come from the late Princess of Wales.

“Diana's ancestry includes a number of early settlers on the east coast of the USA that can be traced right up to the modern day,” Chatfield said.

Findmypast.co.uk traced Hollywood's link to the British royal family as far back as the 13th century, and found that actress and singer Hilary Duff is distantly related to Britain’s King Edward III. This connection makes her son, Luca, a 19th cousin to the royal baby.
