Kate Middleton, Princess Beatrice Feud Revisited Amid Reports of Wedding Invite Issues

A lack of invite to her then-boyfriend when it was time for Kate Middleton and Prince William to say I Do led to a years-long conflict between the Duchess of Cambridge and Princess Beatrice. Now, amid rumors the recently-engaged royal is snubbing members of her family when it comes to invites to her wedding, the women’s feud is being revisited.

According to reports, the issues between the York sisters, Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, and Middleton began when Bea’s then-boyfriend, Dave Clark, was not given an invite to the Duchess’ wedding to Prince William. While the Prince himself is said to have behind the invite not being extended (and also his cousin’s later split), it allegedly led to some “icy” relations between the sisters and Middleton, with Beatrice especially involved in the rift.

Things reportedly got even more tense as time went on and Middleton, who is the wife of a future heir, began to take center stage more and more because of her position, with Beatrice and Eugenie, the only true blood young Princesses in the family, sidelined.

“Royalty is all about pecking order, often in a cruelly blunt sense, and it is Kate who has all the toys and the position,” sources told The Daily Mail back in 2016. “Despite being the only young ‘blood Princesses,’ Beatrice and Eugenie have been reduced to walk-on parts in Royal Family life.”

“It particularly hurt when Kate did solo engagements with the Queen during the Diamond Jubilee. They felt snubbed,” the source added.

In addition, things reportedly got so bad in 2018 during the family’s Easter service, that Middleton even tried to do whatever she could to oritect6 her future sister-in-law, Meghan Markle, from getting swept into the fray. Unfortunately, while Beatrice was single when the former actress married Prince Harry, a report seems to indicate that she could be taking some of her frustrations about what happened back in 2011 on the newer Duchess, by snubbing her and her husband when it comes to the invites for her own upcoming wedding to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

However, the issue with Middleton doesn’t reportedly have anything to do with the feud Beatrice has with her cousin and his wife, as she reportedly doesn’t want to invite them because of how they stole her sister’s thunder at her own wedding last October by announcing their pregnancy.

“Tension has been brewing between Harry and Meghan and the York girls for months now,” a source said. “Beatrice has confessed to friends that if she gets her way, they won’t be invited.”
