She is going to one day be Queen Consort after her husband becomes the King of England, but royal experts say Kate Middleton is likely ready to be Queen already because she was already aware of the demands of her role when she first entered the family.

“She knew enough she’s seen enough and she’s experienced enough, so she was very well aware of what the responsibilities and demands were going to be,” Biographer Sally Bedell Smith said, according to Express UK.

In an interview with People, Bedell Smith also revealed that Middleton has seemingly followed five specific rules since joining the royal family fold which also shows that she is ready for the job that she will one day have, which include things like being discreet among other necessities.

“That is the essence of being a member of the royal family,” she told the publication. “It’s taking a leaf out of the book of both the Queen Mother and the Queen, who has this extraordinary ability to combine a regal quality with a palpable humility... That kind of discretion worked because otherwise you open the floodgates and counteract the majesty [of the role].”

Another way she has proven to be ready for the role is that unlike when Princess Diana married Prince Charles, she knows how to simply be supportive of her husband, Prince William, and while she also knows how to get her fair share of the spotlight, she doesn’t take away from her husband either.

“Kate is secure enough without feeling compelled to overshadow William,” she said. “In the case of Diana and Charles, it was a contest. He had been the center of attention, and suddenly this supernova arrived and was taking up the spotlight. It would be easy for Kate to slip into the foreground, but she is aware and mindful of that.”
