Following Meghan Markle’s jet setting scandal, Queen Elizabeth appeared to be at ease during a recent outing with Kate Middleton. When the two arrived at Balmoral Castle church service, the Duchess of Cambridge reportedly did her best not to upstage Prince William’s grandmother.

A body language expert claimed Kate was more concerned about the monarch’s happiness rather than receiving attention from the press.

Judi James told Fabulous Digital the 37-year-old appeared to enjoy her time with Queen Elizabeth. “Given the criticism and rumored scandals swirling around some of the other members of her family, it’s probably no surprise the Queen’s body language with Kate here suggests a rather relaxed looking sense of pride and pleasure,” she explained.

“Kate’s beaming smile with rounded cheeks and a symmetric display of her upper teeth suggests she is equally happy in the Queen’s company. Although her subtle, flat-palmed wave hints she’s keen to not upstage her grandmother-in-law.”

Observations of Kate’s selfless demeanor comes amid reports that Meghan and Prince Harry are scrambling to save their image. In the past, the couple has shared their concerns about various environmental issues.

However, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were later criticized over the decisions to use private jets to travel to vacation destinations.

Unlike Meghan, James claimed Kate’s compassion has helped her avoid issues with Elizabeth. “Kate looks more and more like a companion to the Queen,” the body language expert told the outlet.

“Her trait of using very active listening signals, including subtle eye checks to ensure her very elderly relative is comfortable and happy, never seem to stray into the realms of the kind of fussing the Queen is so allergic to.”

Although there are times Kate can’t avoid staying out of the press, it appears she makes a conscious effort to avoid stealing the spotlight from Queen Elizabeth.
