Kate Middleton Regarded As New ‘Queen Of People’s Hearts’ Ahead Of Charity Regatta
Kate Middleton is regarded as the new Queen of People’s Hearts ahead of their upcoming charity regatta.
According to Alice Scarsi of Express, the Duchess of Cambridge has been hailed “Queen of people’s hearts” for her charitable work and hands-on personality. An Instagram user wrote this under a picture of the royal couple published just a few hours ago.
Prior to this, many considered Princess Diana the Queen of People’s Hearts. The late Princess of Wales was also named the People’s Princess due to her charitable works. Michael W. Simmons even published a book titled “Queen of People’s Hearts: The Life and Mission of Diana, Princess of Wales.”
Middleton and Prince William are set to attend the King’s Cup regatta on Aug. 9 at the Isle of Wight. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be joined by celebrities for the inauguration.
Prince William and Middleton will be competing at the inaugural boat racing event intended to raise fund for eight charities. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge personally selected their charity, Harper’s Bazaar reported.
On Prince William’s team are English soccer player Fara William for Centrepoint, historian Dan Snow representing London’s Air Ambulance Charity and TV personality Bear Grylls for Tusk. Prince William, himself, will compete on behalf of Child Bereavement UK.
On Middleton’s side are comedian John Bishop to represent Action on Addiction, BBC Radio 1 presenter Katie Thistleton for Place2Be and professional rower Helen Glover to represent Anna Freud National Centre. The Duchess of Cambridge will compete on behalf of The Royal Foundation.
Prince William and Middleton have just returned from their summer holiday from Mustique. The couple took their three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis at the island to enjoy the kids’ break before they return to school.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge reportedly stayed at Villa Antilles, a luxury villa in the Caribbean island, for two weeks. It’s where Prince George celebrated his 6th birthday, too.
Prince William and Middleton spent $66,000 for their accommodation for the said trip because the five-bedroom luxury pad costs $33,000 a week. According to the insiders, the children’s room was decorated with whales and has bunk beds with children friendly facilities. The place features stunning sea views, an 18-meter infinity pool and an al-fresco dining area. It has a private garden, too.
