Kate Middleton Reportedly Advising Cressida Bonas On Royal Engagement, Marriage To Prince Harry

Kate Middleton is reportedly making room for a potential new member of the British royal family, Prince Harry’s girlfriend and rumored future fiancee, Cressida Bonas.

According to a report from E! News, the Duchess of Cambridge has been open with Bonas, a 25-year-old professional model, regarding her potential role as wife of Prince Harry, 29. “Kate’s been brilliant with Cressida and has been giving her advice,” a royal insider said Tuesday. “Kate’s been there and done it and while she knows Cressida won’t be as talked about and followed like she was, she needs get a real slant on what happens.”

While Bonas has yet to secure a ring from her royal beau, E! News claims that the palace has also spoken to her about the rumored engagement. “Cressida has also had initial talks with the palace about what will happen once they do announce their engagement and the way things will work,” confirmed the insider.

According to the report, Harry is especially concerned about his lady love’s privacy. “Harry has told his crowd that he knows he will wed Cressida but he wants to ensure their life doesn't become a circus," said the source. "He's not half as important as William with regards to the throne and wants his privacy to reflect that."

Prince Harry was first rumored to be dating Bonas in July 2012 after they were introduced by his cousin, Princess Eugenie of York. After months of deflecting rumors of their romance, they were spotted together enjoying a ski vacation in Verbier, Switzerland, last February. The couple last made a public appearance together at an England vs. Wales rugby match in Twickenham Stadium last Sunday, one of many recent outings.

Middleton, Bonas’ possible future sister-in-law, was recently reported by OK! Magazine to be pregnant and expecting twins with her husband of three years, Prince William, 31. “She and William have been trying since January,” said a royal insider, who also told the tabloid that the couple, who welcomed son Prince George last July, are hoping for girls with this rumored new pregnancy. “With all the boys in his family [William] is trying to even up the balance,” said the insider.
